Late Fees.... Parents be Aware

Please remember we close at 6:00 every day unless we tell you otherwise.  (Oct 17 we close at 4)  If you are late picking up your child, you will be charged $2.50 per child until 6:05 and then it's $1.00 a minute per child after that.  It is to be paid directly to the person at the front desk and child care will not continue until it is paid in full. 

Door Contests

We had a door contest for the “ back to school”  season. All the teachers were encouraged to participate and were given the incentive of a cash price.  Steve Smith and Tracey Ryder, from El Reno and friends of Raven’s came to judge the doors.  They walked the halls for 30 minutes and really gave their unbiased opinions  They looked for fun, creative, dimensions and classroom involvement.   First prize went to the Dragonflies room, 2nd prize went to the Butterfly room and 3rd prize went to the Wiggle Worms.  We also posted the pictures on Facebook and The crayons won Peoples choice.  The next contest will be for Halloween!

The Yearbook is Coming!

I have begun to work on our first yearbook!  It has tons of pictures and even video!  So far it is 40 pages long and it keeps growing!  It is full of all our memories from the day we opened to the August 13 of this year.  I have tried to pick out the best pictures, and trying to make sure all are included.  Best photo ops are all the theme days we did.  The cost is still up in the air until the book is finished, but I am trying to keep it as low as possible.  We will have a form at the front desk for you to order your book once I know the cost.  Then you will have two weeks to pay while I let previous parents know about the book and give them the opportunity to purchase one as well. New Web Site

We still have the same website, but I have added a new page called “ Parents”.  This will be a secure site.  Depending how I decide to set it up, you will have to either be a member or know a password to see in those pages.  This part of the site will contain information such as; pictures, videos, menu, parent agreement, calendar, rates, and a blog.  As long as your child is enrolled you will have access.  Once you are unenrolled your membership or password will be terminated.

 

New Teachers, New Classrooms, New Kids

The beginning of every school year brings so many changes.  Often people get frustrated, but time marches on and sometimes your children need a new environment to continue growth.. There are new kids to ad to groups which sometimes changes the dynamic of the classroom, and sometimes teachers request a different age group, or their personal life changed so they need different hours.  By Sept we should all be on track.  Hopefully! :)  We still have a few openings… so if you know of anyone looking for a spot for their 2, 3 or 4 year old.  Send them our way.

 

A Computer Must

Signing your child in and out at the computer is a MUST for all parents.  This is a record of not only who is here, but who brought them, who picked them up, the times , who is here to eat and also, who we need to account for if there is an emergency such as a fire, tornado , or  any other emergency we might have to plan for.  I have instructed the people that sit at the front desk to remind you to sign in and out daily until it becomes a habit for you

Even Teachers Go Back To School

Ms. Ashley & Ms. Kayla have been working full time since May.  Now they have to hit the books again and get back to school.  Kayla will work in the Doodle Bug room full time, but not be there on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.  Ashley will work at the front desk on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but not in her class.  Those days, Ms. Becca will be in there.  We are blessed to have so many great teachers!
